Anna Donovan is a ceramicist who likes to throw in mixed media into her work, usually found objects, mostly metal, and doll parts. She graduated with a BA Hons in 3D Design (Ceramics) from
what was then University of Wales Institute, Cardiff in 1995. After returning to Northern Ireland in 1999 she became the first dedicated Props Master and Scenic Painter appointed by the Lyric Theatre, Belfast.
Since 2010 Anna has returned to her studio practice joining the artist community at Conway Mill in Belfast, known as Artists At The Mill. In 2017 she began to focus mainly on her ceramics and has been selected to show her work in a variety of exhibitions/galleries including the Royal Academy of Ulster Annual Exhibition, Craft NI, Bils and Rye in York, Cupola in Sheffield, amongst others.
